Annual Christmas tree-raising at the Biltmore House!
Asheville, N.C. (WLOS) —
Santa Claus is coming to town in a horse-drawn carriage and he's bringing a very special delivery!
The annual Biltmore House Christmas tree raising event is being held Wednesday morning.
Santa Claus will escort a horse-drawn carriage delivering Biltmore's holiday centerpiece, a 35-foot Fraser fir, to the front door of Biltmore House to kick off Christmas at Biltmore.
Dozens of Biltmore staff will carry the tree into Biltmore House where it will spend the holidays in the 72-foot-high Banquet Hall, adorned with lights, gifts and ornaments.
New this year, the Biltmore Winery is decorated with 7,000 globe-shaped ornaments hanging from the ceiling, giving guests the feeling of being inside a bottle of sparkling wine.
