McDowell County authorities are looking for a bank robbery suspect. Deputies say a man robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Main Street in Marion just before 5:00pm Thursday.
Friday officials said there is no indication that the suspect is still in the area, and law enforcement in other counties across the state have reported a suspect with a near matching description involved in similar incidents. He's described as about five-eight, 175 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, light colored pants and a ball cap. On early press release said the man's hands were wrapped with masking tape, a detail which the Marion Police Department could not confirm Friday. If you have any information about the robbery, call Marion Police or the McDowell County Sheriff's Office at 828-652-3231.
