Little Leaguer Sued by Coach

Updated: Thursday, January 16 2014, 05:20 AM EST
A Little League baseball player in California is being sued for more than half a million dollars - and the person suing him is his coach. Joe Paris says his 14-year-old son scored a home run during a recent game, and threw his helmet in celebration. The coach, Alan Beck, says the helmet hit his Achilles tendon and tore it. Beck wants $100,000 for lost wages and medical bills, plus another $600,000 for pain and suffering. Paris says it was an accident, and his family cannot afford the lawsuit.
