Christmas in July

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:27 PM EDT
The heat of this Mid-July weekend has a bunch of people thinking about
Christmas.  The folks behind the Smoky Mountain Toy Run are doing it all
again for Christmas in July.
Harley Davidson of Asheville an the Smoky Mountain Hog Chapter
decided to hold a summer event to help meet a growing need for toys for
children at Christmas.  And they also say a July Toy will help because
winter weather can impact turnout for the annual
ride in December.
The Christmas in July Toy Run is Saturday, July 13.  The day's
events start with a Swap Meet at Harley Davidson of Asheville at 9:00
a.m.   Riders can start meeting at Kearfott in Swannanoa at 11:00 a.m. The entry fee for both is $10 or a $10 Toy.
The ride starts at noon and will end back at Harley Davidson of
Asheville with food and music. If you can't do the toy run, you can
make a donation and join the party.
All of the toys and fees will go to Eblen Charities Saint Nicholas Project. Click here for more information.
