Eating Healthy: Tips from Ingles Dietician

As kids head back to school this week, you want to make sure they have the right foods to fuel their studies. Ingles Dietician, Leah McGrath, shows us some healthy ways to get their day started right.
McGrath says for breakfast, greek yogurt, lactose free rice pudding, oatmeal with craisins, and a smoothie with peanut-butter and Chobani banana yogurt are some healthy options.
For lunches, portion control can be achieved by using small containers for the kids. Individual packs of guacamole and hummus are great alternatives. Protein and fiber are important to keep in mind so kids stay full for a longer period of time.
