Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:27 PM EDT
Talking about Money Matters is never a popular conversation, ut with more than 40% of all college students graduating with significant credit card debt it is a crucial conversation to have.

That is where the Mad City Money program come in to help.

It gives young students a taste of real life money matters long before they graduate high school.

Christina Hernandez with United Community Bank takes the program into schools and places like the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County.

The students get a packet that gives them a "life" and they have to develop a budget, gauge needs and wants, and strive for a goal of having leftover cash.

To find out about bringing the program to you group, email Christina: or call 828-698-5684.
