Shirley Russell was laid out from shoulder and back pain and came to Fairview Chiropractic Center seeking relief.

"I just fell apart from arthritis and all kinds of things," she said.

The 78-year-old had tried virtually everything but Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field therapy (PEMF).

The technology has been used for years in Europe, and like an MRI, relies on magnetic energy.

"So it goes down to the cellular level and it helps create and produce more white blood cells," explained Jamie Mounsey, a chiropractic assistant. "It helps open the blood flow."

"These machines use an energy that is more akin to healing the human body," said Dr. Ed Reilly, chiropractor.

Typically, a treatment lasts about 30 minutes. Some patients say they can tell the difference immediately. Others say it can take three or four times.

"I can run, do most anything.," insisted Russell. "I don't give up."

Thirty treatments later, Russell has more energy, less pain, and better balance than she has in years.
