3 charged after reported sexual assault in Black Mountain
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) —
Three men face felony charges after a reported sexual assault at a Black Mountain home.
According to search warrants, a 911 call came in to the Buncombe County Sheriff's office on Sept. 2, 2017, requesting medical help after a reported sexual assault.
The victim said when he went to a home on Border Street, four men came outside and drug him into a cabin that was connected to the main home.
According to the warrant, the victim said one man held a knife to his throat, another man sexually assaulted him with an object, and the other men held him down.
John Wesley Hardin, 38, Robert Kyle Carter, 40, and James Michael Cairaway, 37, are all charged with first-degree forcible sex offense in connection with the incident.
Detectives said they also found drugs, drug paraphernalia and weapons at the cabin residence when they executed a search warrant on Sept. 3.
Hardin, Carter and Cairaway were each given a $400,000 bond.
