The late Rev. Billy Graham was on the minds of Asheville City Council members Tuesday night. They passed a resolution in memory of the late evangelist.

Graham's grandson Will Graham thanked the city for the love it shared for his grandfather.

"We're so grateful to have this Asheville community that looked after my grandparents. As a matter of fact, you guys hid them here, so they could rest and live here in peace, and we're so grateful for that. On behalf of my family, I say thank you for loving my family," Will Graham said.

Longtime family friend Glenn Wilcox also spoke.

The council also passed proclamations marking March 10 as Zelda Fitzgerald Day and March 19-25 as Asheville Climate Week.
