City staff members are looking for your input on the future of Asheville's South Slope.

From 10 a.m.-5 p.m. every Thursday and Friday through January, you can stop by The Refinery at 207 Coxe Ave. Planners will be on hand to listen to your thoughts about what you'd like to see for the area roughly bordered by Hilliard, Biltmore, Southside and Asheland avenues near downtown.

Planners are at the beginning of the input process but are already getting feedback. They said the area extends beyond the breweries and restaurants.

"People love this area. I think people are concerned about affordability and really wanting to support the small businesses that are here already and provide more opportunities for that," urban planner Sasha Vrtunski said.

The goal is to complete the draft plan this summer, send it to city council and then start implementing the plan.
