It's Kapoor, Smith and Wisler for council; Manheimer as mayor; no to council districts

The results are in, and incumbent Mayor Esther Manheimer coasted to an easy victory against mayoral challenger Martin Ramsey.

Voters rejected a referendum proposing that city council members be elected from six city districts, and choose Vijay Kapoor, Sheneika Smith, and Gwen Wisler to serve on Asheville City Council with current members Keith Young, Julie Mayfield and Brian Haynes, rejecting candidates Kim Roney, Rich Lee and Dee Williams.

Sheneika E. Smith 19.94%

Gwen Wisler 18.23%
