Madison County Sheriff's Office busted a meth lab Thursday on Upper Shut In Road , which is near the Tennessee line, and arrested two people.

The names have not been released, but authorities said the pair were recently released from jail -- one Thursday morning and the other Wednesday evening. Authorities expect to file charges against the pair in the next 24 hours.

Officers picked the woman up earlier Thursday afternoon. The man turned himself in Thursday night.

Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood said deputies had been eyeing the lab for weeks after they were tipped off that the pair bought items used to produce meth.

He believes the pair were also cooking meth at a place about a quarter mile away, where officials found remnants of a lab.

State Bureau of Investigation and fire crews are working Thursday night to dismantle both labs.

"We've got the fire department and EMS on standby," Harwood said. "We'll have the SBI dismantle items found inside the residence. It's normal protocol."

Harwood said the male suspect's elderly father was at home. He was asked to leave and is staying at a motel tonight.
