'Buddy Walk' in Fletcher promotes Down Syndrome awareness
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
Hitting the road to raise awareness for down syndrome, people participated in the WNC Down Syndrome Alliance Buddy Walk Saturday morning.
Participants took advantage of what may be the last dry day for awhile, and walked at Fletcher Community Park.
The Buddy Walk is held to increase visibility of people with Down Syndrome, and create a community of "buddies."
News 13's own Stan Pamfilis was one of them, out for a stroll and helping promote the cause.
