Flecther deputies say a man robbed a Fletcher business with a large knife.

Henderson County deputies say that at approximately 7:20 a.m Friday morning, a man entered a Subway in a strip mall across from King Auto Auction in Fletcher.

The strip mall is at the intersection of Butler Bridge Road and Highway 25.

The man wielded what witnesses describe as a large knife. He escaped with an undetermined amount of cash and left in a small black car that was waiting outside.

The car left the strip mall and headed towards Fletcher.

Maj. Frank Stout of the Hendersonville Sheriff's Office shared a possible, preliminary description of the suspect as a white man in his late 20s, over six feet tall and wearing a hoodie.

Detectives are still working the scene Friday morning.
