Henderson County apple farmers were assessing the damage Tuesday after the winds and rains of Irma blew through the area.

At Justus Apples, Margo Justus and her husband found their trees were injured but nothing like they expected.

It's prime picking season, and, while a number of apples did fall to the ground with the winds, the crops are still largely in the trees.

"Of course, we were very nervous like everybody," Margo Justus said.

The trees at the front of the property had virtually no apples fall from the storms.

The Justuses were without power, so they couldn't open for business But they're thankful the farm's in good shape.
