Henderson deputy released from hospital after vehicle hit head-on by impaired driver

Authorities say a Henderson County Deputy was hit head-on by an impaired driver.

The crash happened late Thursday night on Howard Gap Road.

The sheriff's office said Corporal Cory Justus was taken to the hospital for observation and was released.

Hendersonville Police are investigating the crash, and charged 42-year-old Stephen Bradley Allison with DWI, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

He has been released from jail on bond.
