Hendersonville police are searching for suspects after a rash of vehicle break-ins and a stolen car. That car was recovered, but police said the thieves made off with purses, credit and debit cards and other goods.

Investigators said the criminals have hit mostly unlocked vehicles on Robinson Terrace, Hebron Road, Morningside Lane, South King Street and U.S. 25.

Rachel Bilson, who lives on Hebron Road, said thieves have broken into her car before, but all they got was a phone charger.

"It's a disturbing feeling just knowing that somebody was inside my car and going through stuff and looking through stuff. It was kind of disturbing and then, especially hearing that it had happened to some other people around, that just, you know, it's unnerving hearing that," Bilson said.

Hendersonville police remind drivers to lock their vehicle doors and not leave valuables in plain sight.
