Many local school districts were out for a day or two this week because of Irma.

Transylvania County Schools has posted a revised calendar on its website after schools were closed Tuesday because of power outages and downed trees.

According to the district's website, Thursday, Oct. 26, is now a student day, and the end of Quarter 1 and Friday, Oct. 27 is now a required teacher workday.

Buncombe County Schools missed one day, and officials said it's too early to decide if a change in the calendar is necessary.

Asheville City Schools officials said they are reviewing the calendar and will announce any changes once a decision is made.
