UNCA Chancellor Mary K. Grant has resigned

In a notice posted on their website, the UNC Asheville Board of Trustees announced Chancellor Dr. Mary K. Grant will be leaving the school at the end of the semester.

Dr. Grant has accepted a position as the President of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate in Boston.

Dr. Grant came to UNCA in 2015 as the seventh chancellor of the school, succeeding Anne Ponder who retired after nine years.

Before coming to Asheville, Dr. Grant had served as President of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
