A man was found dead on the campus of NC A&T State University late Thursday night, after a visitor reported a struggle to campus security.

According to Greensboro police, a few minutes before 11:30 pm on April 20, a visitor to the university notified campus security at Pride Hall, that she was approached by a black male armed with handgun. The visitor and the armed man had a brief struggle, at which time the weapon discharged. The woman was not shot.
