Man wanted for break-ins at Asheville businesses arrested

Police arrest a man wanted for multiple break-ins and thefts at Asheville businesses.

The Asheville Police Department released a statement Thursday saying Jesse Lynn Williams, 30, was taken into custody.

Williams and Charles Lorenzo Davis are accused of breaking into M&J Food Mart on Old Haywood Road and Four Star Car Wash on Swannanoa River Road on Dec. 31, 2017. They were also wanted for a break-in at Frugal Backpacker on Jan. 2, 2018.

Davis was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 10.

Williams' charges are as follows:

  • two counts of larceny
  • three counts of breaking coin/currency machine
  • three counts of damage coin/currency machine
  • felony larceny
  • two counts of injury to real property
  • two counts of felony breaking and entering

Davis is charged with the following:

  • breaking coin/currency machine
  • damage coin/currency machine
  • two counts of felony breaking and entering
  • two counts of injury to real property

Williams and Davis are both being held at the Buncombe County Detention Center. Williams is held under a $80,000 bond. Davis is held under a $50,000 bond.
