BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) —
The winter weather is starting to take a toll on many mountain residents as they woke up to another day of snow.
“I’m ready for it to be over. Make spring come faster. Like yesterday,” said Eugenie Heeb, of Alexander.
“I’m ready for spring. It's way too cold,” said Hannah Hamlin.
The countdown to spring is on with the season beginning Tuesday.
“It is March and it is Western North Carolina and that's kind of par for the course,” said Melissa Hughes, of Asheville. “It could be 10 feet deep or it could be tornadoes, but you know it's cold and it is what it is.”
Jeremy Gilley said he likes tackling his indoor to-do list during the winter so he doesn’t want it to end too soon. But he said he’s ready to plant a garden.
