A Marion attorney said he has recovered some of his World War II memorabilia that was stolen last month.

Joseph Bradley, 37, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after the owner of the memorabilia, Russell Neighbors forwarded tips he received to investigators.

Bradley is charged with 22 felony counts, including breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.

Neighbors said German pistols, Lugers and helmets were among the items missing from his downtown Marion office. He said he knows the suspect.

"I had tried to help him. He had felony charges in Burke County, and I had assisted him on that. And our family had tried to give him work. We were trying to help him, and it just backfired," Neighbors said.

Bradley remains in custody in the McDowell County Jail.
