An early morning house fire in North Asheville leaves 11 people without a home.

Authorities say the fire broke out just before 2 a.m. at a home on North Liberty Street.

The house is separated into multiple apartment units.

Fire crews on scene tell News 13 there were no injuries to residents. Sadly, one cat did die in the fire.

The American Red Cross is helping all 11 displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
