SBI seeks potential witnesses, footage from Deaverview fatal shooting

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- The North Carolina SBI is requesting the public's help in identifying possible witnesses to the fatal, officer-involved shooting at Deaverview Apartments.

Authorities have released photos of vehicles that were in the immediate area of Deaverview on Saturday, July 2, 2016, around 7:10 p.m.

NCSBI says the drivers and passengers are potential witnesses to the officer-involved shooting which resulted in the death of Jai Williams.

If you recognize the vehicles in the photos as your own or know who was driving them at that time, you're asked to contact the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation at 828-654-8901.
