Authorities say 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas was last seen Monday near Nashville. They believe Elizabeth's former high school teacher Tad Cummins took her.

Officials with the TBI confirmed they've received around 250 tips from 24 states including Buncombe County Saturday.

Buncombe County Sheriff's Office officials confirm they received a call about a sighting of Thomas, but after a deputy went to the site it was determined she wasn't there.

Deputies here have notified Tennessee authorities that Thomas was not at the location they were given.

Tennessee officials say that with no credible sightings and the length of time Thomas has been missing, the two could be anywhere.

"He stole my daughter from me. He didn't just steal from me, he stole from the Maury County community," said Anthony Thomas, Elizabeth's father.

Officials say Cummins had an inappropriate relationship with the teen, and believed he groomed her in an effort to lure and potentially sexually exploit her.

Elizabeth Thomas is a a white teenager with blonde hair and hazel eyes, and is described as being 5’5” and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and black leggings.

She may be in the area of Decatur, Alabama.

Fifty-year old Tad Cummins is a white male, 6’0” and 200 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

He is believed to be armed with two handguns and driving a Silver Nissan Rogue with Tennessee tag 976-ZPT.

A warrant has been issued for Cummins for sexual contact with a minor.
