Several gas stations in Asheville area run out of fuel
ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- News 13 has learned some gas stations in the Asheville area don't have any gas.
Several Ingles gas stations in our area said they are completely out.
A spill from a major pipeline is causing the issue. When the spill from the Colonial Pipeline in Alabama was discovered, the company shut the line down.
It runs from Texas to New York and supplies gas to an estimated 50 million people a day on the East Coast.
The disruption in supply is causing some stations to run dry and if you can find it, prices are going up.
No word as of Friday night on when stations will be back in business.
The pipeline's operator has said full service will not be restored until at least next week.
