Students are celebrating the importance of eating healthy and getting plenty of exercise.

We visited a produce fair at Candler Elementary School. "We like the carrots. This is good," said one student.

The students tried something new: a purple carrot that tastes just like an orange one. They're learning the difference between fruits and vegetables, and how each of them grow.

They're also learning how to live a healthier lifestyle -- by exercising more and drinking plenty of water, and of course, to be unafraid to try new things.

The produce fair is sponsored by the Buncombe County Child Nutrition Program.

The kids were also encouraged to thank a farmer or gardener for the food we eat.

Sounds like something we should all do.
