Train derails in Fletcher
Crews are working Monday morning to get a train back on track after it derailed in Fletcher.
Representatives at the scene say the Blue Ridge Southern train derailed early Saturday morning, as it made its way out of Fletcher Business Park.
Railroad officials say the rail opened up, causing the engine to go off the rails.
They say it is a customer-maintained track and the train had just dropped off grain to a Sierra Nevada warehouse.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Crews hope to have it back on the rails within the hour and will then repair the track and road.
