Tuesday Weather Update: Extreme cold to start the day, snow possible later this week
Wind Chill Advisory until 10AM Tuesday for wind chill values between -5 & -15 degrees.
Frostbite will be possible to exposed skin in 30 minutes or less.
With clearing skies, temperatures should drop into the single digits for many mountain locations.
Today brings a return to sunshine and somewhat milder weather as highs will climb to around freezing for many.
Clouds will be on the increase Wednesday as a southern system moves along the Gulf Coast and heads towards the Eastern Seaboard.
This system likely stays far enough south of the region to have little impact. However, a few flurries will be possible Wednesday into Thursday.
Little if any accumulation is expected at this point.
Temperatures will remain well below average through this week.
