Blue Ridge Pride Festival
11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Pack Square Park

Our biggest festival ever! 2 stages. 24 performances. 20 food vendors. 150 exhibitors. A children's play area.
Catch some of western North Carolina's most popular musicians: Jeff Thompson, Jane Kramer, Paper Crowns, Brie Capone, Calavera, Matt Ryans, Ashley Heath, Hospital Call, Brief Awakening, Jordan Okrend, Calavera. All with a wrap-around from Asheville's own DJ RexxStep.
Enjoy local Pride traditions: Cantaria Gay Men's Chorus, the Beeer City Sisters, the Second Line Parade around the Park. Meet the new Miss Blue Ridge Pride. Attend a wedding!
Where else can you listen to your favorite local bands, sample gourmet foods from around the world, and shop -- all while exploring social justice and community service?

Oktoberfest at Catawba Brewing
2 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Come out to Catawba on September 30th from 2-8pm for Oktoberfest on the South Slope! Wear your finest traditional German attire, and fill your stein with a selection of our best German-style beers. We'll be pouring the new Catawba Festbier, along with Small Batch Marzen, Berliner Weisse, Bock, and more tasting room-only special releases.
The Asheville Rugby Football Club will serve as ringmasters for the festivities, which will feature games, prizes, live music, and more!
If all the festing makes you hungry, we'll have plenty of Bratwurst and other grilled essentials cooked up by our expert grill sergeants…along with delicious sides from Asheville’s 12 Bones BBQ. All main courses will be donation-based. (Donations to be given to the Asheville Rugby Club: $5-$10 recommended.)
Pretzels will also be available for $2.75 from Asheville’s favorite pretzel-maker, Scott’s Knotts.

Wicked Weed Oktoberfest
12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Celebrate the release of our Oktoberfest beers with live music from Polka Kings, Lagerhosen and the Mike Beckley Strolling Accordion. Enjoy 5 German beers on tap, German food and a stein holding competition. Costumes encouraged!

Dreamers' Ball: 1st Annual Masquerade Fundraiser

OM Sanctuary’s 1st Annual Masquerade Dreamers’ Ball fundraiser, September 30th, 7p - 11p, held on our 54-acre campus in beautiful Asheville, NC. All proceeds from this fundraiser will further OM Sanctuary’s mission and continued growth.

3rd Annual Fall Kickoff: Hunter Banks Fly Fishing
9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Join us for our annual celebration of cooler temperatures, fully stocked rivers, and the anglers that are the heart and soul of the largest fly fishing community in the South. We'll have food from Luella's Bar-B-Que North Asheville, beer from Highland Brewing Company, Simms Fishing Products & Patagonia Fly Fish on site, live music, and of course a big sale.
This year, to give this event even more meaning, we are partnering with Project Healing Waters Asheville, NC to bring Healing Saturday to Western North Carolina. Healing Saturday drives awareness and raises funds to support injured and disabled veterans throughout the United States.

Several overland shows now offer worthwhile classes. But no other event comes close to the breadth and depth of education available to Overland Experience attendees at the Overland Expo, from choosing the right vehicle for your needs, to packing it with the proper equipment and provisions, to comfortably handling challenging driving conditions, to winching it out of a hole. Our team of instructors is simply the best on the planet: from ex-Camel Trophy team members to trans-Africa veterans to professional expedition leaders. The 2016 Overland Expo EAST schedule includes 140 classes comprising a full 320 session-hours of instruction. We now have attendees who have been to every Expo and have not run out of things to learn.

The Arts Council of Henderson County is announcing the 58th annual Art on Main fine art/fine craft festival on September 30 and October 1, 2017, 10am-5pm both days. The festival will take place on Hendersonville, NC's historic Main Street, with the street closed to traffic for the first time.
One of the region's most popular outdoor arts festivals, Art on Main features both fine art and fine craft artists from throughout North and South Carolina, many other states in the region, and beyond. More than 85 artists will participate in this juried and judged festival. Art on Main will also include artists who will demonstrate their creative processes in a wide variety of media.

ReVIEWING BLACK MOUNTAIN COLLEGE 9
Reuter Center, UNC-Asheville

Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center (BMCM+AC), in partnership with University of North Carolina Asheville, is thrilled to announce the 9th Annual ReVIEWING Black Mountain College, an international conference that explores the history and legacy of the world's most acclaimed experimental educational community, to be held September 29-October 1, 2017.

Art on the Island
Blannahassett Island, downtown Marshall
10 a.m. -5 p.m.

The Madison County Arts Council will present the sixth annual 'Art On The Island Festival' on beautiful Blannahassett Island, downtown Marshall, Saturday, September 30th. This all day affair presents artists, crafters, food, music, and kid's activities from 10am until 5pm and is free!
In addition to the festival, Blannahassett Island is the home of Marshall High Studios, located in the renovated 1925 building that formerly housed Marshall High school. The studios house a wide variety of working artist studios. The festival will take place on the grounds of the island, with plenty of space for artist's booths, playground joy, and picnic fun. There will be 50 artists displaying their wares in this amazing riverside setting. Music will be presented by Madison Middle and High School Jazz Bands, Madison County Junior Appalachian Musicians and Latin flavored band, Sol Rhythms. ART, MUSIC, FOOD AND FUN ON THE ISLAND IN MARSHALL!

Eliada Corn Maze opens

Eliada hosts WNC's ONLY non-profit Corn Maze with 100% of proceeds benefiting the children we serve! Not only does your ticket purchase come with access to family-friendly fun, memories, and adventures but it directly aids in the growth and success of Eliada and our kids! This year's theme is Growing Eliada and the maze features flowers, fruits and veggies!
