Campers at Carolina Day School's summer camp are learning all about music and the music business.

Kids formed a band called Lemon Cloud 5, which has been together for just one week. During camp, the budding musicians learn how to write, sing, and record music.

The band even produced and recorded their own album.

The summer camp is being taught by Carolina Day School alums Ethan, Michael and Owen.

Students said they've learned a lot in a short period of time.

"Before I really didn't like to sing in public or really play my guitar. But since going to this camp, that's definitely gone up," Alexandra, 13, said. "It's been a lot easier."

"Before I started, I wasn't sure about my singing until I actually started singing with some of my friends by blending," Avian, 11, said. "That's what I've learned is to blend our voices to make it better."

Carolina Day School is holding another music camp at the end of July. It is open to all middle and high school students.

Ethan, Michael and Owen have their own business called New Galaxy Records, and they're music majors.
