Kids at one mountain school are learning a new twist on the Golden Rule.

At Asheville Primary School, students are encouraged to be "bucket fillers" in hopes of spreading love and good feelings.

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Red Grammer travels the country to share his message of hope, caring, and community.

On Monday morning, he performed for students and staff at Asheville Primary School.

"Bucket fillers" are people who help without being asked, give hugs and compliments, and spread their positive attitude.

Students said it is easy and it makes you happy when you do it.

"When people are really, really sad, I always make them feel better with a happy picture," Hollis, a preschooler, said.

Red had a final performance at the school with students and their parents on Monday afternoon.

His tour continues for the next two weeks. His next stop is in Ohio.
