ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- A teen author hopes to inspire the next generation of writers.

Hannah Black is already working on her second novel, and spent time encouraging students at Avery's Creek Elementary School.

Spoke to students about main characters, settings and plots.

When she was 14, she entered a national contest for young authors online and won!

"I was like this is a great opportunity," Black recalls. "The prize was a publishing deal and I had always wanted to write a book so I found the deal. And I was like I want to try this. I had a deadline and that motivated me to finish."

She even got to choose the cover for her book titled "Nothing But Your Memories."

She writes under the name H.B. Clementine.

Black has finished her second book and is preparing to send it to her publisher.
