Thousands of people are expected to fill the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville, to witness some of the world's best tennis players take the court. The U.S will face the Netherlands in the 2018 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group First Round at the U.S. Cellular Center on February 10th and 11th on an indoor hard court.

Players like Serena Williams, Venus Williams, CoCo Vandeweghe, Lauren Davis, and Captain Kathy Rinaldi make up the U.S. team. The U.S. team comes to Asheville after winning its record 18th Fed Cup title and first title since 2000 in November, defeating Belarus, 3-2, in Minsk.

Members of the U.S. and Netherlands Fed Cup teams, as well as special guests, will take part in a special ceremony to determine the player match-ups for the weekend’s competition.

This event, held on stadium court at the U.S. Cellular Center, will be open to the public and free to attend. It's happening Friday, February 9th at noon, with doors opening at 11:45am.

It will include the opportunity for fans to take photos with the Fed Cup trophy and watch the draw take place with their favorite players.

On News 13 This Morning, Lauren Brigman talks with U.S. Tennis Association representatives about what the players have been doing in Asheville so far this week, and what the community can expect this weekend.

Former pro doubles player Eric Butorac, ranked in the Top 20 in the world, also gave Lauren a tennis lesson on live tv. Click the video link to watch.
