On Thursday, May 4th, Pardee Hospital hosts a nursing job fair.

It is taking place in the orientation room at Pardee Hospital, located at 800 North Justice Street in Hendersonville. It runs from 8-11am and 4-7pm on Thursday.

The hospital hopes to fill up to 50 positions, which include 25 positions for registered nurses and 20 positions for nursing assistants.

Pardee is looking for qualified, top-level candidates and recent nursing school graduates to fill these positions. Sign-on bonuses are also being offered.

The job fair on Thursday ushers in National Nurses Week, which runs May 6th-12th and National Hospital Week, which is May 7th-13th.

On News 13 This Morning, Lauren Brigman talks with Registered Nurse and Nursing Service Director for Pardee, Bridget Barron, and Vice President of Human Resources and Service Excellence for Pardee UNC Health Care, Hope Reynolds.

Pardee's management staff say the ideal candidate will embrace a holistic approach to health care and understand how the mind, body and spirit are affected by compassionate care. They say the job fair is happening now because Pardee is seeing a growing need from the community.

Candidates should bring their resume if they have one, and come prepared for an interview.
