In our Wake Up Workout, we're talking getting back into a routine as kids head back to school this month.

Adi Westerman from Hot Yoga Asheville joined News 13 in studio to give some tips for transitioning back. She says, there should be no excuses! Do something, anything, even if just 5 minutes a day.

Westerman also says a good rule to live by is to try and make it to the first class you can. Put it on your schedule, even if the first class you can make isn't until the evening. Don't stray from the schedule you set.

A few poses to consider: backward bending which Westerman says gives you lots of energy. And, forward folding which lowers your blood pressure and helps clam you down if you're stressed.
