Youth Education Specialist for the North Carolina Arboretum, April Hausle, explains that monarch butterflies are endangered species. She says there are things you can do at home, like planting milk weed and other pollinating plants, to help preserve the butterfly species.

The exhibit is included in cost of entry to the Arboretum, which is $14 per vehicle. It is open daily from 9am until 5pm through October 29th.
