Childrens' birthday parties are always fun because you get presents.
But as you'll see in our Never Stop Learning report, if you aren't careful you just might get something else too.
Ms. Paige is helping students count the number of teaspoons of sugar that are in your typical birthday party plate. If you eat a slice of chocolate cake and wash it down with an orange drink and ice cream, that's almost 50 teaspoons of sugar!
The lesson is part of Dental Health Month at Asheville's Health Adventure.
Here the students also learn how to properly brush and floss their teeth.
It's a lesson the second graders really listened to.
And they meet Mr Gross Mouth, who has dipped smokeless tobacco for years and neglected his teeth along the way.
The North Canton Elementary school students also learn the importance of eating healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, which will help them take better care of their teeth.
