Cycle of Seeds

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:18 PM EDT
From a teeny tiny seed to your dinner plate.  It's a hands on lesson about how plants grow.

As you'll see in our Never Stop Learning report, community volunteers are making it's an assignment they won't soon forget!

They slice the oranges, dig through the pears, and eat their way through the dates, searching for seeds and learning why they're so important.

Parent volunteer Laura Blackley uses music for the message of a seeds cycle.

Mr. Walter, a Buncombe County Berry farmer, shows the students how the fruit goes from the field to their plate.

Odyssey Community School is trying to raise money for the Pre-K garden and other things at the school.

It's holding it's raffle fundraiser April 13th. With the purchase of a ticket, you have a chance to win $2,000 cash, as well as some other prizes.
