It was the international "olympics" of critical thinking and Candler kids say it was the experience of a lifetime.
Pisgah Elementary was among 3 local schools to go the global "Destination Imagination" finals in Knoxville, Tennessee. It's a creative problem solving contest. To reach the globals, they had to excel at a regional and state level.
Pisgah chose the "wind visible" challenge. The children competed against teams from around the world. Team Manager, Beth Myers, says "it is an extra curricular activity, but life changing for these students. "
Pisgah finished in the top 30. Buncombe county sent 3 teams to the global finals, including Pisgah, Valley Springs and Enka Middle. Congratulations to all.
