More Never Stop Learning
Follett Challenge, Your Vote Counts!
Updated: Tuesday, March 5 2013, 09:03 AM EST
It's called the Follett Challenge, and more than 100 schools across the country are taking part in the competition.
Schools submitted videos, highlighting their programs that promote problem based learning.
Currently a Henderson County school is in the lead. As of today it's still in first place with the most votes but that could change with the click of a mouse.
These are some of the students who took part in the video that features the Rugby Raiders' students, teachers and staff working together toward a 21st century education.
The video highlights the schools' work for applying technology, content, and creativity, in ways that engage the students and promote critical thinking.
Last year the challenge awarded $200,000 worth of educational products to 6 different schools.
If you would like to vote in the Follett Challenge through March 18th click here.
You can only vote once a day, one email per household.
Again the schools win educational products like e-books, print books and audio books..not cash.
There is another mountain school that's taking part in the competition, Leicester Elementary School.
Last year Flat Rock Middle School won $15,000 dollars worth of supplies.
