No Name Calling Week

Updated: Monday, January 27 2014, 03:29 PM EST
Students across the country are celebrating "No Name Calling" Week.
Some area students are acknowledging the event with a Garden of
Kindness.

First graders are farmers for a day at Jones Elementary school.  They're making kindness flowers for their classroom garden.

All this week school counselor Rachel Herrick is talking with students about teasing, bullying and name calling.

She's reminding students to be kind, polite and to use your manners.

Ms. Herrick also shared a children's story about being a bully.

Afterwards students gave examples of the right way to treat their friends, family and classmates. No Name Calling Week
