It's the last summer program at the Black Mountain Library, and it was a dirty one!
Children are learning what it takes to make a garden grow. First of course you need plenty of dirt, add a handful or two of compost, and then you gently tuck the plant into it's new surroundings.
Ms. Kimberly Owns Adelbert Farms in Fairview. She says it's important to teach kids and adults about the life cycle of a plant.
Kimberly Kirstein, Adelbert Farms, "I think everyone should know where their food comes from and have at least knowledge about how that food gets to their plate."
The kids also get to take a bean seed apart, so that learn that every seed has what it needs inside to grow, we just have to provide the love!
