Taking Aim

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 10:18 PM EDT
One elementary school teacher is coming up with unique ways to keep his kids motivated.

This is archery class at Jones Elementary school.  150 students in grades 3-5 participate in the 4 week program.  During the class Coach Walker helps them with their stance, their patience, accuracy, and of course, above all else, safety

Coach Walker offers different activities through out the year in hopes of keeping the kids motivated.

The archery equipment as well as other outdoor sports gear is on loan from the group "The Active Choice" which is out of Appalachian State University.

It serves 30 counties throughout the state.Taking Aim
