Learning how to be a successful gardener can be a difficult task.
To keep ahead of the game, some local folks are going back to the classroom to talk tomatoes!
Local tomato expert John Hew is enlightening people on how to get started growing tomatoes this year.
He is helping people recover from 2013's difficult growing season, where farmers had to deal with blight.
That's a common tomato disease caused by fungus that impacts almost all parts of the plant.
Ralph Buntyn, tomato grower, "I always learn when I come to these classes, a lot of it is trial and error, you learn about the new varieties and the hybrids, and try to get ahead of the game because blight is such a killer of early tomato crops."
