Our Tools For Schools drive was a huge success Thursday, which means thousands of children in need will have the basic supplies they need to start the school year.

The giving began in the darkness of early morning. Donation after donation. All of them, unsung heroes.

Sometimes, it's hard to pick just one Person Of The Week, so why not just pick them all. Eblen Charities Executive Director Bill Murdock agrees.

Along with hard earned cash, they gave volunteers armfuls of supplies. Tools For Schools brought out the best in a lot of folks.

275 back packs from AT&T Telecom Pioneers. A statewide group with 240 local members. They dropped off more book bags than Tools For Schools received the two previous years combined. Their large donation also comes with a $750 check.

Community partnership is what makes Tools For Schools so successful.

News 13, Ingles, Clear Channel, and Eblen Charities teamed up for Tools For Schools. The supplies will be distributed next Wednesday. Contact the folks at Eblen Charities if you'd like more information.
