Buncombe Tax Revaluation

If you own property in Buncombe County look for a letter in the mail next week. The county will mail out 120,000 revaluations at the end of the month.
Although many properties will have a higher value, the amount of tax you pay won't be determined until county leaders set a new rate. The process should be complete in June and tax bills will go out in August. They'll be due early next year.
Whatever you're faced with, there are a number of programs to help many residents including the elderly, the disabled and disabled veterans.
