All this week we're focusing on childhood obesity in our special reports, "Kids Health Matters"
Parents and families are attacking the problem in a variety of ways, including the basics of getting kids out and active.
Parents say keeping kids fit begins with healthy food and healthy play.
Experts say 17% of children, ages 2-19, are considered obese. The Centers for Disease Control says that number has nearly tripled since 1980.Kids Health Matters: Healthy Habits
