Updated: Wednesday, January 23 2013, 07:11 AM EST
It's a warm welcome home on a chilly evening for members of the Asheville High School Marching Band. Their buses rolled into town after the drive back from playing in Monday's Inaugural Parade in Washington, DC.
The Marching Cougars were one of just 16 high school bands chosen from across the nation to participate in the inaugural parade. They were also the only marching band from North Carolina.
Band members returned to an excited and proud group of family and friends. They also returned with trophies in hand as grand champions.
Watch the band march in the parade.
